Visuri’s FES Cycling

This video portrays the first time a paraplegic person sees his legs moving without the help of another person. Helvio is a wheelchair basketball and powerlifting athlete, and with prolonged use of the Mios device, his health will undoubtedly improve and events such as atrophy and thrombosis prevented in comparison to not using electrostimulation.

Five years ago, our friend Sergeant Helvio, 47 years old, suffered a complete spinal cord injury at the thoracic vertebra (T7) due to a gunshot wound, and for the first time, he tried the Mios device connected to the FES Cycling wheelchair.
